| 英文描述 | HALOGETON GLOMERATUS, SARCOBATUS VERMICULATUS, and RUMEX in the U.S. and OXALIS CERNUA, CENCHRUS CILIARIS, MESEMBRYANTHEMUM NODIFLORUM, and SETARIA SPHACELATA in Australia, as well as some other less important plants (Panciera et al.) cause oxalate toxicity in ruminants. Many animals can be affected in a single episode of toxicity. Acute signs are associated with hypocalcemia, and chronic ingestion can lead to renal failure. Less acute or chronic disease can also occur. Dx by history of exposure to toxic plants. Ethylene glycol toxicity produces a similar syndrome, and could occur if the animals drank antifreeze. |
