| 英文描述 | Rupture of the peroneus tertius tendon or avulsion of the origin of the tendon can cause clinical signs in ruminants and horses. Characterized by ability to passively extend the hock while the stifle is flexed, a maneuver usually stopped by the peroneus tertius. Affected animals will often bear full weight on the affected limb with no pain unless the area is palpated. There can be a mechanical swinging-leg lameness. Dx by clinical signs. Swelling may occur over site of rupture. |
