| 英文描述 | Severe trypanosomiasis is found in Africa and South America, caused by the parasitic protozoans TRYPANOSOMA CONGOLENSE, T. VIVAX and T. BRUCEI. Spread by the tsetse fly (GLOSSINA sp.). Edema is one of the most prominent signs. There can be both acute and chronic disease. Usually subclinical in sheep and goats. T. THEILERI has been found in cattle in North America and Europe, and has generally been considered non-pathogenic, although it has occasionally been associated with disease. |
