| 英文描述 | Vertical cracks in the hoof wall are common, and extend from the periople distally, usually near the front of the hoof. Probably due to excessive dryness of the foot and trauma. Does not cause lameness unless the crack reaches the sensitive tissue at the coronary band. Dx by clinical signs. Often sudden onset. |
