| 英文描述 | A pathologically distinct syndrome of progressive paresis in Angora goats has been described. The three reported cases were from the repeated mating of a doe to the same buck, and a genetic basis is suspected. Signs of ataxia were seen at 4 months of age and were progressive. At necropsy there were large clear cytoplasmic vacuoles in the neurons of the brainstem and spinal cord. There was also degeneration of nerve fibers scattered throughout the various tracts of the posterior brainstem and spine as well as within peripheral nerves. It was concluded that this was a previously unrecorded neurologic disease of the goat. |
