| 英文描述 | Some males will have blood in the ejaculate, either occasionally or at each service. The blood in the semen inhibits fertility. Most common in heavily used stallions and following trauma in all species. In stallions there is often urethral inflammation, and endoscopy can be used to locate the lesion. Horses have been described which had blood in the urine due to endoscopically visible ulceration in the proximal portion of the urethra without hemospermia. Boars may have polyps which arise from the urethral mucosa and communicate with the corpus cavernosa. Prostatic disease, trauma, and neoplasia are some causes of hemospermia in dogs. |
