| 英文描述 | Common in goats, where it may occur post breeding or post freshening. The chance of a goat developing hydrometra increases with age. Radiography or ultrasonography shows uterine enlargement with no fetus. In goats may spontaneously correct with loss of fluid owners call 'cloud burst'. This is very rare in the bitch and queen, and differentiation from pyometra is made by culture of the uterine fluid. Radiography of small animals will show that the intraabdominal fluid is contained in a viscus, similar to that seen in pyometra. |
