| 英文描述 | Neurotrophic keratitis is due to the loss of corneal sensation following disruption of the ophthalmic branch of the trigeminal nerve. This may have a variety of causes, and complete neurologic evaluation is warranted. Loss of sensation allows tear film evaporation and corneal ulceration. Often presents as large or recurrent nonhealing ulcers. A similar syndrome results from paralysis of the facial nerve, which innervates the orbicularis oculi muscle, and the lacrimal gland. Trauma is the most common cause. Dx by evaluating corneal sensation, signs of facial paralysis, and decreased tear production. |
