| 英文描述 | Primarily seen in mature sheep. This disease has also been described in goats, but appears to be very rare. Incubation period is 6 mos. to 2 years, and most sheep die within 6 months of onset of signs. Due to a retrovirus. Histo shows papilliform ingrowths in the lung producing an adenomatous reaction, with metastasis to lymph nodes. Dx at necropsy. This is a separate disease from progressive pneumonia, but both diseases have been seen in the same flock and even in the same animal. There is no treatment, and there is no vaccine. |
