| 英文描述 | There is a report of dwarfism occurring in Southdown sheep. Inherited as a lethal recessive. Shortness of the lower jaw was often, but not always associated with other signs of dwarfism. Outbreaks of a high rate of dwarfism associated with death within a few minutes of birth and cleft palate have been reported, and no specific genetic or environmental cause was identified. Achondroplasia (dwarfism) occurs in some breeds of goats (Basrur). Some dwarf breeds have become popular. |
