| 英文描述 | Seen in Northern Europe, Australia and New Zealand. Economically important in New Zealand sheep. Usually affects 2-6 month old lambs, but there are reports of outbreaks in yearlings and adults. Associated with a hepatopathy and cobalt/vitamin B12 deficiency. The hepatic lesions distinguish the disease from uncomplicated cobalt deficiency, and include fatty change, accumulation of ceroid in macrophages, portal fibroplasia, and bile ductule hyperplasia. CNS signs due to hepatoencephalopathy, or photosensitization. Dx by lesions in association with low cobalt and B12 levels. This disease has recently been reported in goat kids. |
