| 中文描述 | 腦膜炎在任何年齡的家畜都可能發生，但大多發生在年紀很小的時候。細菌性感染，如大腸桿菌、鍊球菌、以及厭氧菌，還有黴菌的感染，都能引發腦炎。綿羊嗜組織菌會引發綿羊的腦膜腦炎。也有一些病例報告，是阿米巴原蟲所引起狗、馬、牛、及綿羊的腦膜腦炎。診斷的方式可以採腦脊髓液檢查是否有病源感染。感染本疾病時，常會伴隨有其他菌血症相關的症狀，例如關節或眼睛方面的問題。 |
| 英文描述 | Meningitis in domestic animals can be seen at any age, but is most common in the very young. Bacteria such as ESCHERICHIA COLI, STREPTOCOCCI, and anaerobes, as well as fungal agents can be involved. HISTOPHILUS OVIS has caused meningoencephalitis in sheep. There have been cases of amebic meningoencephalitis in dogs, horses, cattle, and sheep. Dx by evidence of sepsis on CSF tap. There are often other signs of septicemia such as joint or ocular problems. |
