| 英文描述 | Trauma to the head can cause blindness due to cerebral injury, but can also cause blindness by direct injury to the optic disc or nerve. There is a history of sudden onset of blindness after a traumatic incident. Dx by fundic exam and history. The prognosis is poor if no vision returns within 7 days. Optic nerve atrophy occurs a few weeks following severe injury. |
