| 英文描述 | Atrophic rhinitis commonly affects weaner and fattening pigs; diagnosed by examination of the turbinates at slaughter. Associated with PASTEURELLA MULTOCIDA, BORDETELLA BRONCHISEPTICA, and environmental factors. Signs can vary from mild to severe. There is controversy over the effect of this condition on growth rate. A virtually identical condition has been reported in goats, with 12 of 49 goat herds in one area of Norway affected. This was associated with P. MULTOCIDA in the nose. The number of goats affected in each herd ranged from one or two to more than half. The disease accurred at all times of the year. Young kids most susceptible, but older goats were also affected; dx by clinical signs and/or examination of the turbinates at slaughter. |
