| 英文描述 | Spongiform degeneration of nervous tissue is characterized by diffuse or focal formation of vacuoles histologically in the central nervous system. A group of related Arican Dwarf goats less than 4 years of age (average of 14 months) had signs of progressive limb ataxia. At necropsy there were extensive spongy changes, primarily in the white matter of the brain and spinal cord. This was presumed to be hereditary (Obermaier et al.). |
