| 英文描述 | Rare but may be seen in North America. Signs develop in the first or second month, with hair loss and hyperkeratotic crusts on the muzzle, ears, eyes and legs. Might be secondary diarrhea and respiratory infections. Horns of affected calves do not grow. There is usually a fatal outcome before 8 months of age. This inherited condition is distinguished from zinc- responsive lethal trait A-46 by the absence of horn buds, the presence of long pointed hooves, and the failure of zinc supplements to reverse the disease. Serum zinc levels may be low, normal, or high. |
