| 英文描述 | A syndrome affecting teat skin has been described in cattle. Early patches of bluish discoloration progress to large flaccid vesicles. After rupture of the vesicle the teat is slow to heal, and the teat skin can become dry, hard and leathery. An annular ring of ulcer and inflammation can encircle the teat. Most common in first-calf heifers during cold, wet weather. The cause is unknown, and the teat often sloughs leading to culling from the herd. Occurs as a sporadic, rather than epizootic, disease. Signs of systemic illness and involvement of skin of the udder, vulva, and escutcheon were occasionally observed. |
