| 英文描述 | Polled Hereford calves developed what appeared to be a congenital, primary hereditary defect characterized by congenital anemia, dyskeratosis, and progressive alopecia. A normochromic and normocytic anemia was present at birth. There was hyperkeratoisis and hair loss around the muzzle and ear margins, which progressed to a generalized alopecia and kyperkeratotic dermatitis. Subtle neurologic signs, eating of soil, regurgitation, diarrhea, and progressive cachexia despite a normal appetite were also seen in some cases. No treatment was described. |
