| 英文描述 | DELPHINIUM spp., larkspur, is a common cause of livestock poisoning in western North America, and has been described in the Swiss Alps. Signs are due to alkaloid toxicity. Dx by signs and history of ingestion of the plant. Succulent prebloom plants and seeds are most toxic, and most poisonings occur in the spring and fall, when the plants are in this stage of their life cycle. Although similar signs are seen in affected animals, vomiting apparently does not occur in sheep, goats and horses. |
