| 英文描述 | Uterine torsion is common in cattle; diagnosis is by rectal examination with vaginal examination sometimes helpful as well. Might be confused with failure of the cervix to dilate. Torsion can rarely occur in midgestation or postpartum. Uterine torsion is less frequent in sheep and goats. The vagina is also twisted in most (but not all) cases in small ruminants. Diagnosis in sheep and goats might require surgery in cases without a vaginal twist. Signs of blood loss can be present if ovarian vessels rupture. |
