| 英文描述 | Neoplasms of the urinary bladder in cattle, including hemangiomas, hemangiosarcomas, transitional cell carcinomas, papillomas, fibromas and adenomas are caused by long term ingestion of bracken fern (PTERIDIUM AQUILINUM) and possibly other ferns such as rock fern (CHEILANTHES SIEBERI). Usually 4-6 years old when signs first noted. Dx is usually made at slaughter, but endoscopy of the bladder could be used. A similar condition has been produced experimentally in sheep. Neoplasia not apparently associated with fern ingestion might also occur. |
