| 英文描述 | Laminitis is a common cause of lameness in cattle characterized by sudden onset of lameness in the front feet or all 4 feet with no other cause. Adults and calves (sometimes in outbreaks) affected. Feet occasionally feel hot with a digital pulse as in horses. Can be followed by chronic founder with abnormal growth of the hoof. Can be primary or secondary to other diseases; digestive system signs can be present in cases secondary to grain overload. Laminitis has also been described in sheep and goats. |
