| 英文描述 | ACTINOMYCES PYOGENES and STREPTOCOCCUS spp. appear to be the most common causes of endocarditis in cattle; ESCHERICHIA COLI, MICROCOCCUS spp., STAPHYLOCOCCUS AUREUS, PSEUDOMONAS spp., KLEBSIELLA PNEUMONIAE, PROTEUS MIRABILIS and HELCOCOCCUS are among other organisms that have been isolated. Diagnose by clinical signs, ultrasonography, and blood culture (although false negative blood cultures are common); ECG not usually helpful. Murmur usually heard on the left side in cattle. In the early stages of the disease signs of congestive heart failure not present. Lameness seen as in other species but uncommon. There can be secondary embolic pneumonia. Common in cattle, and also seen in sheep and goats. Fever may be absent or wax and wane. |
