| 英文描述 | Drowning or near-drowning is most common in young dogs and cats, with approxim- ately 50% under 4 months of age, and is more frequent in the summer months. Dx based on signs, and history. Hypothermia, aspiration pneumonia, and formation of lung abscesses are complications that may occur in survivors. Treatment is discussed by Humber and includes oxygen under positive pressure, diuretics, and use of surfactants. |
