| 英文描述 | Cysts of the upper airway can obstruct breathing in horses. Often in the arytenoepiglottic fold ventral to epiglottis. Occasionally in the dorsal pharyngeal wall. Subepiglottic cysts are believed to be remnants of the thyroglossal duct. Cysts of the soft palate, associated with dorsal displacement of the soft palate, caused clinical signs in young horses. Dx by endoscopy. Have been reported in foals with secondary pneumonia; the signs of pneumonia listed below are from those cases. A pedunculated mass in the pharynx originating from the subepiglottic area was described in a calf. |
