| 英文描述 | Patent Ductus Arteriosus can occur in all species, but reports are most frequent in the horse. Usually found in young animals, but has been reported in aged horses. The continuous murmur of a patent ductus may be heard in normal foals, calves and pigs for some time after birth, but physiologic closure usually occurs by 24 hours in foals, and a continuous murmur after 4 days of age is considered abnormal. Dx by signs, echocardiography, and angiography. |
