| 英文描述 | Seventeen related, purebred Angus calves were described which had brachygnathia superior and generalized diarthrodial degenerative joint disease at birth. Calves were depressed, unable to stand, and were often found in sternal reumbency with rumen tympany. When forced to stand they were reluctant to move. Several joints, particularly tarsal and humero-radio-ulnar, were distended by fluid and produced crepitant sounds when moved. A single bull was used in the breeding programs of affected herds, and no new cases have been seen since 1980, when the bull was removed from service. |
