| 英文描述 | Young Beefmaster cattle, between 2 days and 6 weeks of age, developed renal oxalosis. Renal failure, with azotemia, was present in the calves tested for it, and was probably present in the others. At necropsy the kidneys were pale and firm; on cut surface renal medullas were thin and renal calyces were dilated and contained numerous small, pale yellow, granular calculi (Rhyan et al.). On histology, oxalate crystals were seen in renal tubules. This might be an inherited metabolic defect of Beefmaster cattle resulting in primary hyperoxaluria. Other causes of renal oxalosis must be excluded. No effective treatment was described. |
