| 英文描述 | Cerebellar abiotrophy occurs in Holstein calves, with onset at 3-8 months of age in one study and at birth in other clusters of cases. In calves affected at 3-8 months of age clinical signs were progressive and were due to Purkinge cell degeneration of unknown cause; probably inherited as a recessive trait. In Holstein calves affected from birth the cause is not known. There is a report of a similar syndrome in a Charolais calf and in a Limousin calf. |
