| 英文描述 | Bronopol (2-bromo-2-nitropropane-1, 3-diol) is bacteriostatic and fungistatic. It has been used in Australia as a bacteriostat in milk, and the surplus mixture fed to calves and pigs. Five of 8 calves fed a milk- bronopol mixture died within 16 hours (Hindmarsh), 1 died 15 days later. Severe abomasitis was the primary lesion; bronopol was detected in the abomasal content. Dx by dietary history and necropsy. |
