| 英文描述 | Calves have been described with a severe hemolytic anemia which was strongly Coombs positive. The etiology is uncertain, and some authors call the condition 'idiopathic immune hemolytic anemia.' Diagnose by tests for antibody to the calf's red cells after ruling out isoimmune disease or by response to treatment with glucocorticoids. Young cattle have developed purpuric lesions with increased bone-marrow megakaryocytes, findings consistent with accelerated removal of platelets from the circulation; no cause could be determined, leading to a diagnosis of idiopathic thrombocytopenia. Corticosteroid-responsive thrombocytopenia has been described in adult cattle. |
