| 英文描述 | Epidermolysis bullosa is a blistering disease of the mucous membranes and skin of areas exposed to frictional trauma. Affected sheep are born with lesions or develop them in the first 2 weeks of life. The horn of a digit may be shed, revealing the underlying corium ('red foot'). Epidermolysis has also been seen in Simmental cattle, where it is inherited as an autosomal dominant, in Brangus calves in the United States, in Angus, and in mixed breeds. Has been described in Belgian and American Saddlebred horses. In Belgian horses this disease is inherited as a recessive and designated JEB (a.k.a. Herlitz-Junctional Epidermolysis Bullosa). Signs of excoriations and alopecia in areas of rough handling or pressure points are worse in younger animals, and effects moderate as the animal ages, although affected calves grow slowly. Histologically this is characterized by dermo-epidermal separation and blisters. Dx by histology. |
