| 中文描述 | 小牛曾被指出在出生或幾日齡內很虛弱或無法站立.臨床發現肌肉神經系統受限.小牛X光可看到無脊柱病灶;腦脊髓液可能正常或輕微白血球增加.屍解可看到多發性淋巴細胞脊髓炎,腦膜炎,腦炎其和原蟲囊胞相關.一隻小牛以免疫螢光染色用多株抗新包蟲抗血清可測出原蟲囊胞和快速繁殖型呈陽性.新包蟲曾從巴西一頭有神經症狀及瞎眼的小牛分離出來. |

| 英文描述 | Calves were described which were weak or were unable to rise either at birth or a few days of age. Clinical findings were confined to the neuromuscular system. In calves radiographed there were no spinal column lesions; cerebrospinal fluid was normal or had a mild pleocytosis. At necropsy there was a multifocal lymphocytic myelitis, meningitis and encephalitis associated with protozoal cysts. In one calf protozoal cysts and tachyzoites were positive with immunohistochemical stains using polyclonal anti-NEOSPORA CANINUM antiserum. N. CANINUM was isolated from a calf in Brazil with blindness and other neurologic signs |
