| 英文描述 | Moldy sweet clover contains the toxic agent dicumerol, which inhibits clotting. Poisoning is seen in adults, and there is also a syndrome of bleeding in newborn calves which may be due to ingestion of the toxin by the dam; there was no abnormal bleeding by the dam following parturition. Dx by hypoprothombinemia in the calves and dietary history of dam. Calves affected in utero may be aborted. |
