| 英文描述 | NOCARDIA are acid-fast organisms. Bovine mastitis due to NOCARDIA is usually sporadic but herd outbreaks have been reported and this problem may be increasing. This is a common soil saprophyte. Might enter gland during treatment with contaminated products. Signs range from subclinical to chronic mastitis with draining sinus tracts, to acute fatal mastitis. Attempts at treatment are usually ineffective. Nocardial infections are generally unaffected by the dry period or dry cow therapy. Culture followed by segregation and removal is the recommended method of control. NOCARDIA has been isolated from mastitis in goats. |
