| 英文描述 | Hyperkeratosis due to chlorinated naphthalenes in petroleum products was a problem until they were removed from use in the 1950's. It is now rarely seen; exposure can be from dumps or old farm machinery. Skin lesions begin over the withers and lateral neck region then spread, but generally spare the lower legs; skin of the medial thighs can be thick (Panciera et al.). There is no specific treatment, but animals should be removed from the source of the toxin. |
