| 英文描述 | The gram-negative rod of the genus SALMONELLA has one species called ENTERICA, 6 subspecies and over 2200 serotypes, some of which are host-adapted and some of which are not host-adapted. Most common in calves but can occur at any age particularly after stress. Abortion can follow fetal infection. Signs can range from acute to chronic; shedders can carry the organism without signs. Can be septicemic, especially in young calves, with sloughing of the skin of the extremities in rare cases. Disease in calves generally occurs after 1 week of age, with meningitis sometimes part of the disease syndrome. This is a zoonosis. |
