| 英文描述 | Congenital cataracts have been described in cattle as being due to an autosomal recessive gene in most cases. There may be associated luxation of the lens. Have been reported in several breeds, including Jerseys, Herefords and Holstein-Fresians. Congenital nuclear cataract is a specific entity in cattle in Britain. Bilateral and nonprogressive, and signs vary from abnormal refractivity to dense, white nuclear opacity (France and Shaw). Congenital nuclear cataract may be due to environmental causes and large proportions of calves in a herd may be affected. |
