| 英文描述 | Chronic ingestion of the plant SOLANUM KWEBENSE in South Africa leads to a nervous disease characterized by vacuolar degeneration and necrosis of neurons, particularly in the cerebellum. A similar syndrome was reported for S. DIMIDATUM in the U.S., S. FASTIGIATUM in Brazil, and S. BONARENSIS in Uruguay (Bourke). A herd of goats in Australia developed a cerebellar degenerative disorder when grazing S. CINEREUM, and ingestion of S. VIARUM was associated with caprine neurologic disease in the U.S. |
