| 英文描述 | LEUCAENA LEUCOCEPHALA grows in warm climates; chronic long term ingestion of the plant causes goiter, cataracts and infertility. Calves born to cows poisoned by LEUCAENA can be grossly hyperthyroid and die within 3 days of birth. The toxicity of this plant can be decreased by the presence of a specific ruminant microbe that can be transferred from resistent to susceptible ruminants. |
