| 英文描述 | Parturient paresis is a nonfebrile disease of adult dairy cows in which acute calcium deficiency causes progressive neuromuscular dysfunction with flaccid paralysis, circulatory collapse and depression of consciousness. Although this usually occurs at the time of parturition, hypocalcemia can occur at all stages of the lactation or gestation period, often with no apparent precipitating factor although it is sometimes associated with anorexia or estrus. A syndrome of nonparturient hypocalcemia can also affect beef cattle. Diagnose by blood calcium levels and/or response to treatment. |
