| 英文描述 | Cattle with medical problems which cause anorexia may develop rumen collapse. This is a syndrome in which there is an area of tympanic resonance or ping which is of a rectangular shape and located in the left upper quadrant of the abdomen. The ping extends dorsally above the level of the transverse processes of the lumbar vertebrae. On rectal palpation the left upper quadrant of the abdomen is void of viscera. Although this finding is associated with other diseases rather than being a disease in its own right, it should be considered in the differential diagnosis of left sided pings in cattle, and should not be confused with a displacement of the abomasum. |
