| 英文描述 | Congestive heart failure seen in cattle grazed at high altitudes. Cause unknown, but there is recent evidence that grazing of locoweed (OXYTROPIS or ASTRAGALUS) leads to heart failure in addition to other signs of toxicity. The annual incidence of congestive heart failure in cow-calf operations in Colorado and Wyoming varies from 0.5-2%, and is more common at higher altitudes and among cattle newly imported from lower elevations. Dx by exclusion of other causes of heart failure. |
