| 英文描述 | Borax is used to control the pH in oil well drilling muds. Cattle at an abandoned drilling site developed illness after eating chunks of borax. Cattle also developed an acute, fatal illness after apparently eating boron fertilizer. The lethal dose of boric acid in animals ranges from 200-600 mg boron per kilogram, and boron levels in soft tissues are usually less than 2 ug/mg on a wet weight basis. Dx by history and tissue analysis. |
