| 英文描述 | Summer grazing of tall fescue (FESTUCA ARUNDINACEA) can lead to a syndrome of poor performance and a decreased ability to dissipate body heat on hot summer days. Affected animals will often stand or wallow in water to keep cool, or will exhibit open-mouth breathing or panting. Under some conditions fertility can be decreased. Dx by signs of hyperthermia and poor performance while on fescue pasture. The fungus ACREMONIUM growing in the fescue is believed to be the cause of this syndrome. |
