| 英文描述 | Retinal degeneration causing blindness is a rare disease in cattle. In all reported cases the cause has been unknown, although in one report a mother and daughter were affected, leading to suspicion of an hereditary basis. Sporadic cases and an outbreak in unrelated animal have also been seen. All reported cases have been seen in mature animals. Retinal degeneration is found on histology, and this confirms the diagnosis. Lesions and clinical signs are bilateral. |
