| 英文描述 | Single lethal experimental dose between 1 and 2 mg/kg in calves and the LD50 in lambs was 1/2 mg/kg. Death occurs within several hours of administration, and signs of respiratory failure are prominent. Sudden death with pulmonary edema at necropsy was reported in a dog injected with selenium. The dog was not observed to determine if the other signs seen with acute toxicity in cattle and sheep are present in dogs. Dx by history and elevated selenium levels at necropsy. There are reports of deaths following an oral overdose in lambs and of adult sheep grazing in high-selenium areas. |
