| 中文描述 | 先天性眼缺損是指眼睛的任何結構自出生時便出現有缺口、縫隙、破洞或裂隙等缺陷。在貓咪，先天性虹膜與脈絡膜缺損可能是體染色體顯性遺傳的結果，而且常是雙側性的。在狗與馬，先天性眼缺損的報告並不常見。患有此疾病的動物，視力通常不受影響。經由眼科檢查進行診斷。也可能發生於豬、狗與牛。水晶體的先天性眼缺陷會與白內障相關。 |
| 英文描述 | Coloboma is defined as a notch, gap, fissure, or hole in any of the ocular structures present at birth. In cats colobomas of the iris and choroid may be inherited as an autosomal dominant trait and are usually bilateral. Colobomas are reportedly rare in the dog and horse. Functional vision is usually not impaired. Dx by ocular examination. Also hereditary in pigs, dogs, and cattle. Lens coloboma could be associated with a cataract. |
