| 英文描述 | Nodular lesions of the facial and vestibulocochlear nerves have been described in 2-5 month old calves. In one report 16 calves were affected over a 6 month period in a 60 cow herd. At necropsy the lesions of the nerves represent various stages of the inflammatory process, from acute to chronic granulomatous lesions. The brainstem may be compressed. The cause is unknown, but this condition might be secondary to otitis media (Van Der Lugt and Jordaan). The prognosis is uncertain, but some apparently affected calves have recovered (Maenhout). |
