| 中文描述 | 大量給予胺基配醣體抗生素會造成耳朵的毛細胞發生退行性變化，導致動物發生耳聾，也有腎臟方面的毒性。可能最常發生於小動物診所，但是小牛給予一天兩次，每次每公斤2.25毫克的新黴素，使用超過一個禮拜也可能會引發臨床症狀。依據藥物使用記錄進行診斷。 |
| 英文描述 | Large amounts of aminoglycoside antibiotics can cause degeneration of the hair cells of the ear, causing deafness, and can also be nephrotoxic. Probably most common in small animal practice, but calves dosed for over a week with 2.25 mg/kg of neomycin twice a day developed clinical signs. Dx by history of drug administration. |
